Warning Graphic Photo! Taken from the newspaper front page

Another day, another photo. This one is a little on the absurd side, I was sitting down for lunch and noticed a thai language newspaper. On the front page it appears to be a dead body, I pick it up, and look at it closely only to see that there is yet another article, and one more photo, this one of two more dead bodies. I ask my Thai friend, is this normal? She replies, they’re suppose to blur out the face to protect them. There is no face blurred out here, there is blood all around the heads of a photo with two people in it, the blood has been blurred out, but leaving perfectly recognizable faces. Well, I don’t speak Thai, so I’m not exactly sure just what news was being reported, one photo did kind of look like a car and/or motorbike accident to me, the other one I have no clue.

Clearly Thai Media coverage standards are far different than North America.  I guess there is no protecting the innocent, I hope the families of these people found out about their passing in some other form. Hopefully the person on the gurney in the top photo is healing and doing well!
