An Amazing Elephant Experience
A couple of weeks ago, I booked a flight to Chiang Rai and headed out on a motorbike trip around the North of Thailand. While there, I think one of my most favourite and unforgettable experiences was a visit to the Anantara in the Golden Triangle. While this place is not cheap - about $1200 USD a night for a room (All inclusive program) it will include a choice of activity (this is where you should pick an elephant..not the Spa). Their elephant program is without a doubt the best I've experienced in all of Thailand. They have a Mahout (elephant handler) program and here is a link to a very short video created while there.
