How to find a cheap flight in Asia

Everyone likes getting a deal! I wanted to share my personal list of no frills / discount airlines that are in Asia. I just heard about Scoot airlines when someone mentioned they were flying to Singapore with them, and it made me wonder how many other discount airlines are out there. I have created my own list of discount airlines in the region, and for those of you that are lucky enough to be travelling in this region I hope that no one will miss out on a great deal!

Here is my Guide to Discount Airlines in Asia:

AirAsia - All over Asia

JetStar - Operating in Australia, Singapore, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Phillipines, Indonesia, Fiji, China, USA, New Zealand

Tiger Airways - Based in Singapore, operates in Singapore, Australia, China, India, Macau, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philipines

Bangkok Airlines - Domestic Thailand, flights from Thailand to Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and other big Asian cities.

Dragonair - Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Bangladesh, China, Taiwan, Nepal, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Russia, Malaysia

And some more that are good to know:

ThaiSmileAir- Domestic Thailand flights

Orient Thai- Based in and operates in Thailand. Flies from Dong Muang airport in Bangkok, for domestic Thai flights only

Nok Air- Domestic Thailand, Vietnam

Cebu - Domestic Philippines and from big Asian cities to the Philippines.

Scoot - Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Australia

Hong Kong Express - Mostly to Hong Kong and China with stops in big Asian cities

Spring Airlines- Domestic China, Macau, Hong Kong

FireFly - Based in and operates to Malaysia, Singapore

LionAir- Based in Indonesia, operates mostly to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam (Banned in US airspace due to safety problems)

VietJet- A 5 plane operation for domestic Vietnam flights

Air Mekong - A southern Vietnam domestic flight carrier
