A new Dimension of Thai Street Food

Continuing my journey through the secret little soi’s of Bangkok I found yet another interesting Thai way of life; Cooking in the street.  One evening a few weeks ago, a Russian friend of mine, who has been a Thai resident for a few years now told me that due to the heat Thai’s often cook outside. At that time she was referring to them putting stove tops on their balconies, but I think what I stumbled upon today was the house version.  A big pot on a seemingly custom made table specific for this purpose is connected to an even bigger propane tank cooking away unattended in the soi. The more time I spend in Thailand the less strange i think these things are, this is a whole new dimension of street food.
