A glimpse of a small village in India - A walk through Jojawar
Arriving here overland from Udaipur the second you arrive, you can just feel that you are in rural India. The bright dress of the locals let you know that you are certainly in Rajasthan. The colours are a feast for the eyes. The above photo is from Jojawar, a town that only has one hotel, a former palace.
Tourists are spotted here a few times a week, so the locals are used to the new faces. However the children, with their big smiling faces are always happy to see you, and even more excited to pose for photos. Their bright clothing is a stark contrast to the rather drab looking background and make for wonderful memories.
Forever on a quest to see the "real" India, stops to little villages are a necessity. A country is about its people and small villages project authencity. Photos of real life scenes speak louder than photos of great tourist places. Use the comment section below to share a link to one of your favourite travel photo from a small town or village.
